Our Story

After working in the corporate industry for over 20 years, I decided to pursue my passion of owning my own business and at the same time, assisting people in my community. So coupled with this and my love for African artwork, I came across an extremely talented bead & wire artist one afternoon and struck up a friendship with him. Together we decided that the world needs to see his amazing ability to create almost anything out of bead & wire. This is where Penny Whistle Bead & Wire was born.

Penny Whistle Bead & Wire can ship/courier all our products anywhere in the world. You are also welcome to arrange your own shipping/courier method.

All shipping costs are based on the final destination address and weight and size of the products, (the more products you order the higher the shipping costs and the heavier the products the higher the shipping costs (the dimensions and weight of all the products are included with the product image in the product catalogue). Until an order is placed, we have no way of quoting on the shipping costs. You are welcome to place an order and request a shipping quote, if you are not happy with the shipping quote you can cancel your order at any stage or you are welcome to arrange your own shipping/courier.

Once the order is received, we will respond with a quote on shipping/courier costs. If you accept our quote, we will generate an invoice for payment of the products ordered as well as the additional shipping/courier fee. Once payment is received, we will send your order out for delivery along with a tracking number to track your parcel.

PayPal is the preferred payment method. When the final invoice is sent, the request for payment will be sent via PayPal. Alternatively, banking details will be shared with the final invoice.

All our product are individually handmade so the lead time to receive your goods, (once payment is received) will vary from order to order. It is also dependent on how big or small your order is as we may have to make up additional products if we do not have sufficient product in stock. If the product is in stock, we can ship as soon as we have received payment. Our bead & wire artist generally takes around a week or two to make up additional stock (once order is received). Note that our courier service does not collect product for shipment on Saturdays and Sundays. COVID – Due to the current pandemic across the globe, shipping from South Africa or receiving globally may take a while longer than usual.
If there is a specific bead & wire product that you are looking for and you don’t see it in our product range (whether it is a different size to our current product offering or a completely new product you are looking for), please contact us with your request and our talented artist will gladly assist. No work of art is too big or small to create.
All our art creations are proudly South African !!! Individually handmade in and around Johannesburg , South Africa. Because each product is individually made, the weights and dimensions listed in the product catalogue may vary slightly.
Each piece of work is individually handcrafted, therefore the size, colour or design could possibly be slightly varied from the original design on the website or contain a slight imperfection. Penny Whistle Bead & Wire will accept returns based on the following only:
(1) What you ordered is not what you received, for example, you ordered a Lion and received a Giraffe. If you need to return an incorrect order, an email must be sent to orders@beadnwire.com within 3 days of receiving your order with the reason you want to return the order, a picture of the incorrect product/s received and a list of the incorrect product/s received. When quotes are issued for the courier costs, they are excluding insurance costs. If you would like to include insurance cover on your shipping costs (for theft, lost parcel, breakage etc.), please indicate this to us when you place your orders (order form online or direct email to orders@beadnwire.com) so that we include the insurance cost on your invoice. If no insurance is taken up and paid for by the buyer, Penny Whistle Bead & Wire will not accept any responsibility for loss, theft, breakage of the package/product/s once it has left our premises.
Orders can be cancelled for a full refund if the product has not been shipped.
